I'm Matteo. IT Manager and Technical Team Lead by trade, developer by vocation: I spend my days deciding which complexity is worth keeping and which isn't.

On this blog I write about software architecture, design patterns and artificial intelligence. And occasionally about pastry — we'll get there.

## What I Do

I lead the IT department of the company I work for: I define the architecture and technical standards, mentor the development team and look every day for the balance between innovation and operational stability — the part no slide deck ever really explains.

In whatever time is left, I build predictive sales models in Python, because spreadsheets have a limit and they usually hit it at the worst possible moment.

## Beyond Code

You won't find much of me on social networks: I prefer real conversations and targeted networking. My free time goes to Claudia, family, the friendships that survive time and distance, books, and the piano — the only place where a wrong note doesn't open a ticket.
